Ericka Varela
CEO/Founder CASA NOVA
Ericka Varela is a trailblazer in construction, remodeling, and design—a woman entrepreneur redefining the industry with passion, precision, and purpose.
With an MBA from Wilkes University and a BS in Economics and Business from Arizona State University, Ericka combines strategic business acumen with hands-on expertise in construction management. Before founding CASA NOVA, she honed her skills as a Commercial Credit Analyst at Raza Development Fund and as a Business Banker and Vice President in Commercial Banking at JP Morgan Chase and Sterling National Bank. This financial foundation gave her a deep understanding of real estate, risk mitigation, and investment—insight she now applies to every remodeling and design project.
Since 2018, Ericka has led construction projects from concept to completion, overseeing budgets, negotiating contracts, and ensuring every build meets the highest quality and city compliance standards. More than a builder, she’s a community advocate—engaging with city councils, investors, and industry leaders to foster economic growth and inclusivity in the field.

Cindy Smith is the organizational powerhouse behind CASA NOVA’s seamless execution. As Project Manager, she’s the glue that holds each project together—ensuring timelines are met, budgets are respected, and every detail is thoughtfully managed from concept to completion.
With a strong background in construction coordination and client services, Cindy is known for her clear communication, problem-solving mindset, and calm-under-pressure leadership style. She acts as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and the design team, keeping everyone aligned and informed while navigating the inevitable complexities of a remodel or build with grace and precision.
Cindy’s ability to anticipate needs, pivot when necessary, and keep projects running smoothly allows the creative vision of CASA NOVA to come to life—on time and with excellence.
